Nov 25/09 -Utah -When I saw this mural, I knew I had to post about it. Typically I do not really post content that is distant from the fashion-based initiative of the site. I guess that is what is so great about fashion, like many other things in life, inspiration can come from almost anywhere. Commissioned by FICE, an urban art gallery and streetwear retailer, graffiti artists El Mac and Retna painted this 44 feet high mural in Salt Lake City, Utah last week. The text in the halo is in Latin, the beginning of the Ave Maria (”Hail Mary”) and served as the inspiration for the beautiful piece of art.
