My former publisher just got his own book optioned for a TV series. I've always though my first two would fit well into TV - episodic, Canadian, small town, cops, First Nations, evil spirits, drugs, bikers, murder. And romance. But without an agent, it's hard to do. I've been advised to seek out film producers via friends to try to sneak in that way - might work. In the meantime, I've been checking out friends for contacts, as well as feelers out to places like CBC TV. But most require an agent.
I also have five draft NaNoWriMo novels to edit. I think I'm best to drop the current one I've been agonizing over, and start with another. Plan is to give each one a couple of weeks of my morning writerly focus, and see which has the most potential. Once I get that one done, I can shop for a literary agent. Who hopefully also has film connections.
And of course there are the weekly Flash Fiction 1000 word stories I do - I think to show myself that although my novels are somewhat stagnant, I am still a writer. Here's last week's, and the next prompt.
So, some new goals and objectives. I'll need a bit more structure, as in gaming evening sonly, bed by midnight, write in the morning. I'll get there.
