ROW80-3 28/07/2019 Not Too Hot, Really

I'm in Toronto at my girlfriend's place for a week. It has occasionally got up to '26 feels like 32' in the day, but she has a small AC, and we open windows overnight to catch the cool breeze up from the lake. So, not really that bad when I look at some of the weather reports from Europe. Where I understand air conditioners are not that common. Sounds really brutal. So I've been spending my mornings out on her front porch, with a coffee and laptop. And sometimes the landlady's dog for company - she's pretty quiet.
I did get some writing done, for my latest FF. Plus some editing. And some people-watching at the local coffee cafe.
Status:
- Write - Because I enjoy it.
- Write new material - one Flash Fiction a week.
- Did another one for last Friday, with a birthday theme. Story is Make a Wish.
- Edit existing material - to send in for publication. 2h/d. I've selected one of my stories, The Ghost in the Machine. Okay. I looked at this on the train down, as well while sitting outside one morning. I am making progress. It's a fun story.
- Write new material - one Flash Fiction a week.
- Write better - Read about how to write, and get constructive feedback.
- Series of writerly blogs. Objective -stay current. Yup.
- Write regularly - set a FF challenge a week. Yup, challenge this time is about HEAT. With a random location and object.
- Other - Still need to do workbooks for MasterClass on Storytelling, by Neil Gaiman. It might help my editing. And the James Patterson one looks intriguing.
- Publish/market
- Amazon Marketing Services Campaigns on KDP -Some sales, but suggested bids keep going up. I've cut all the bids to a tenth of former value, and decreased dynamic pricing percentages just to calm it down. YTD I've spent $168 for $56 sales.Profits much less.
- Give away print copies of Flash Fiction Stories. Still doing this, mostly at my local. Good feedback.
- Send in one story a week to a publication. Nope.
- Read with purpose
- Objective - read and review a book a week. Some waiting at home.
- Health
- Fitbit step Objective - 7 day average 3500. Average is 3000, but varies a lot.
- Set sleep target to 7 (was 7.5) hours, starting at midnight. 7 hours, 5/7 days. Bedtime 5/7 days. Usually up 7/8.
- Stay social - That's a given, what with walking about, visits to local cafes and bars, and all my grandkids being in Ottawa. At my girlfriend's place and talking to siblings to set up a lunch. And beers at a local, and coffee at a cafe.
- Have fun - Gaming, Netflix - both indoors. Outdoors?
- Netflix/Amazon - Still lots of Grey's Anatomy, and some Black's Books.
- Gaming - 8:30-10:30 schedule. Yes, off and on for my trucking. But have a new game, Elite Dangerous. Very steep learning curve.
- Vacation - Do at least mini-trips. Thinking.
- Chores - I added this to capture bigger jobs, like gardening. Nope.
