Raven's View

 Another 'light' day, but some progress on the map. 

 A bigger chunk was added yesterday, here in Ottawa I walked down to the local library and back. Not a lot for some, but I needed a serious snack after, so bought a bag of mixed nuts. They were only healthy-ish, as this was way more calories than I'd used up!  Meanwhile, back in Paris, the little lake was left behind and I headed east across the busy Bd. de Peripherique.  

 More greenery, as I turned south, past the Madagascar Embassy and through the Jardin de Ranelagh. With walking paths, sculptures, puppet theatre, and pony rides. And an insect hotel. 

 Well, barely more than a km since yesterday, but a bit of progress.  I ambled down along the lake, then west along Av. de Saint Cloud. IRL it was a chilly day, temperature had dipped to the negative, and the wing up to the positive. But it is springing time now, the Vernal Equinox, and what could be more romantic than Paris in the Spring. 

 Here's my progress so far on the map.

 I carried on west through the park to a roundabout and the Jardin d'Acclimatation - a children's park. Not much to see from the road, but Google map had this shot. Looks like a scary ride! Reminds me of the Wild Mouse at the CNE in Toronto.

 More greenery as I strolled along Av. du Mahatma Gandhi - so nice to see all this in the middle of Paris - then this amazing sculpture/building. It's a museum, built by the Louis Vuitton Foundation and designed by Frank Gehry. 

 South next, along Rte de la Muette à Neuilly (love these street names) through more parkland. Possible this is Le Bois du Boulogne, hard to tell. At any rate, ended my walk at a cute little spot on Lac Inferieur (Lower Lake). More of a pond than a lake, and just south of it is Lac Superieur (Upper Lake). At any rate, the boathouse looks nice, and apparently it's a nice outing there to rent a boat, paddle around, and feed the geese.
